Enterprise-Class Features: Root Cause Analysis and Alarm Suppression

CITTIO’s enterprise-class Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Alarm Suppression allow you to monitor your network efficiently and proactively. Using one or more pre-identified topology maps, RCA analyzes all paths leading to an affected (down) node and suppresses all notifications except for the root cause node – preventing event floods and the wasted time, effort and credibility that accompany them. RCA eliminates finger pointing and conserves resources by allowing you to stay focused on the core issues and eliminating peripheral noise.

Enables configuration of root cause analysis via an intuitive network map, using auto discovered topology maps or hand-drawn maps (or both)
Discovers node status and indicates on the topology map whether nodes are up, down, or unreachable
Offers ability to suppress downstream alarms when a critical component (e.g. switch or router) goes down
Correlates outage events with their root causes within the event listing pages
Determines whether the root cause is at the node or link level
