President, CEO and Founder
CITTIO, Inc.
The network and data center environment has changed. What
was once a static, slowly developing system has become increasingly
complex, heterogeneous and dynamic with new devices (nodes)
being added, removed or relocated almost continuously to keep
pace with business demands. Moreover, more and more of these
nodes are non-traditional edge devices such as surveillance cameras, network
access controllers, security devices, POS terminals and VOIP
telephones in addition to core servers, switches and routers.
CITTIO was founded in 2001 by a team that saw how legacy
monitoring systems have failed to keep pace with these changes.
Founder Jamie Lerner managed large corporate data centers
and saw first hand how available monitoring tools were either
too complex, expensive and manual or too basic, simple and
manual to provide tangible value in a dynamic environment.
A new approach was needed - an approach that enabled rapid
deployment and kept monitoring relevant through automation,
enterprise scalability and flexibility. CITTIO was founded
on the premise that manual monitoring tasks should be automated
if at all possible and that the monitoring platform should
be capable of supporting any IP-enabled device. The result
is WatchTower®, — rapid time to value
and a monitoring solution that stays relevant.
Traditional approaches that require extensive manual efforts
will not allow IT staff to focus on the strategic, innovative
projects that will drive new levels of growth and ensure IT
is not only aligned with the business, but reducing risk and
ensuring compliance while growing the business.
CITTIO is funded by two Tier 1 venture capital firms and
is headquartered in San Francisco.
